Pop Quiz Chapter 1-3 To Kill A Mockingbird. Discuss tomorrows schedule change and students report to 3rd period at 7:30 am. Begin intro-discussion for chapter 4 - Why do people make fun of people who are dissimilar? Who is worse (Children or adults)? Can we change that and if so how?


HW: If absent on Friday complete Study Guide and read chapter 4 - due Wednesday. If present on Friday and HW not completed, complete by Wednesday for 1/2 credit.

Groups of 5 - discuss the findings from their homework and class work; explore questions and share findings with the class (handout); explore the similarities and differences between TV and magazine ads (question paper).  What makes a magazine ad effective and what makes a TV ad effective. 


HW: Research books that have been banned over the years. Bring in information for 2 books. Due Monday 2/21.
